CellFina™ in Philadelphia, PA

Cellulite is one of the most challenging problems for women and men because it cannot be corrected with diet and exercise. Located in Bala Cynwyd and serving Philadelphia and South Jersey, Dr. Paul M. Glat, MD, FACS, performs CellFina™ for patients desiring plastic surgery.

Time for a Proven Solution for Cellulite

Cellulite presents a unique problem for women and men. Most areas of fat are caused by collections of fat cells in the skin. Cellulite, though, develops when fat pokes through connective tissue which is why the condition causes a dimpled or orange peel appearance. Reducing fat in these areas does not help with the weakened connective tissue, so you cannot eliminate cellulite on your own. Liposuction is not an effective solution either. Fortunately, you do have a choice for cellulite reduction—CellFina™, an FDA-approved, minimally invasive treatment for cellulite.

The Benefits of CellFina™

Other cellulite reduction treatments do exist, but none of them provide the benefits of CellFina™. The most impressive benefit is that the results may last up to three years. You see results just three days after the first treatment. No surgery or downtime is required.

CellFina™ Candidates

CellFina™ is recommended for adults who have cellulite and are near their ideal weight. Dr. Galt may recommend that you lose weight or treat your pockets of fat first before having CellFina™ treatments.

If CellFina™ is not the best option for you, Dr. Glat may recommend:

The CellFina™ Procedure

CellFina™ is a minimally-invasive procedure. Incisions are not required, but the treatment does require the insertion of a small needle device into the cellulite. The needle is used to release the bands of connective tissue through which fat protrudes. Once the tension on these bands is released, the fat in the skin evens out, and you no longer have the dimpled appearance of cellulite.

Recovery After CellFina™

No significant post-treatment symptoms or complications were noted during clinical trials for CellFina™. You may have tenderness, mild discomfort and bruising for the first few days. If your bruising is more extensive, it may take up to four weeks for it to completely resolve.
