JUVÉDERM™ Procedure

JUVÉDERM™ is gel filler that is made from naturally occurring hyaluronic acid (HA). Because it is manufactured from a substance found in the human body, there is no risk of rejection or allergic reaction, making it a safe alternative to more invasive surgical treatment options. For the comfort of the patient, JUVÉDERM™ is infused with a mild anesthetic called lidocaine to ease any discomfort or pain that may arise from the injection process. Age and sun exposure can break down the body's natural HA, resulting in a degradation of skin structure and volume.
