My experience in performing plastic surgery on children has led me to have a practice involving plastic surgery in teenagers. It’s very common for me to see teenagers who are requiring reconstructive surgery, but it’s also become very common for me to see teenagers who are looking for cosmetic surgery. I think it’s very important for me to be able to offer that to some of my patients, but having parental involvement is very important in making sure that this is the right procedure for you is the most important thing that I can do. It’s a controversial area, but it’s also an area where we can provide wonderful services to some patients, but not all patients.
