What is an Opus Plasma Treatment?

Opus Plasma is an innovative radiofrequency skin resurfacing technology that improves the skin, minimizes wrinkles and fine lines, and reverses sun damage. Opus Plasma treatments are versatile and can be adjusted to be gentle or aggressive, depending on the needs of each patient and their aesthetic goals.

Opus Plasma combines radiofrequency (RF) energy with plasma created when the RF energy emitted from the tips of the metal pins of the device reacts to atmospheric pressure.

Fractional skin resurfacing with Opus Plasma creates thousands of tiny micro-injuries to the skin and triggers the body’s natural healing response, collagen production.

What are the Benefits of Opus Plasma Treatments?

What Happens During an Opus Plasma Treatment?

Your treatment begins with a topical anesthetic applied to the target area to minimize discomfort during the treatment. Once this has taken effect, the Opus Plasma handpiece is moved across the skin. During the treatment, the Opus Plasma RF energy combines with plasma created by the metal pins of the device, creating thousands of tiny micro-injuries.

Once the procedure is finished, a protective balm is applied to the skin. Treatments typically take about 15 minutes.

After the Opus Plasma Treatment

You will likely notice some slight redness and swelling after the treatment. This will resolve on its own after 1-2 days. If the treatment was more aggressive, there may be more redness or swelling that lasts longer.

You will see initial results after a single treatment. We recommend 2-3 treatments to achieve ideal results.
