Cheek Implant Surgery
During the cheek augmentation procedure, Philadelphia plastic surgeon Dr. Morgenstern will place the implants through small incisions either in the mouth or in the natural creases under the lower eyelids. If the patient is undergoing another facial rejuvenation procedure such as a facelift, brow lift, or eyelid lift, then additional incisions are not necessary, and the cheek implants can be inserted through the ones that are already made.
After Cheek Implant Surgery
Like all surgical procedures, cheek augmentation is not entirely without risk. However, complications with this method of facial contouring are extremely rare. After surgery, the area could become infected, or the implants could shift, but an experienced, reputable cosmetic surgeon like Dr. Morgenstern is able to minimize the chance of complications.
